Celestine has been immersed in theatre since 2016, beginning with joining her school’s Drama and Debate co-curricular activity and taking drama classes at Kids Performing™ Academy of the Arts and Academié of Stars. There, she advanced through Acting and Public Speaking exams from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) up to Grade 5. Thereafter, in 2020, she became a dedicated theatre student at the School of the Arts, Singapore (SOTA), where she is still currently enrolled, now a part of the Theatre International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), a specialised vocational theatre curriculum for Years 5 and 6.
Her notable acting performances include playing Agnes in Caryl Churchill’s A Dream Play, the Stage Manager (narrator) in Thornton Wilder’s Our Town as part of Pangdemonium’s Very Youthful Company, Mother and Chorus Member in the devised production Cat’s Gaze—which earned a Distinction at the Singapore Youth Festival 2024, multi-roling as Guildenstern, Player Queen, Gravedigger and Marcellus in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and was a member of the ensemble of the 2024 production of Por Por’s Big Fat Surprise Wedding by Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT). Currently, she is rehearsing for the role of Gwendolen Fairfax from the Importance of Being Earnest for SOTA’s 2025 IBCP production in October, as well as being a member of SRT’s The Young Company.
Outside of acting, Celestine has contributed as front of house staff for Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Por Por’s Big Fat Surprise Wedding and worked as a stage guide for their production of Shakespeare in the Park: Macbeth.
